DIRECTIONS TO BUTCOMBE FARM....

Butcombe Farm is situated some 13 miles south-west of Bristol and 20 miles from Bath. The farm nestles between Butcombe and Blagdon, just four miles from Bristol International Airport.

From Bristol...

Take the A38, going south out of Bristol, following signs to Airport, Bridgwater and Taunton. After approximately 9 miles you will pass the airport on your right.

Carry on south for a further 2 miles, passing through Redhill and Lye Hole.

Take the next turning left after the Alvis dairy farm and shop, into Cowslip Green, following the signs  to Butcombe and Nempnett Thrubwell. (Any signs to Butcombe on the A 38 preceding this should be ignored.)

After approximately 1 mile turn left at the T junction. Aldwick Court Farm will shortly be on your right and, after less than a mile, you will find Butcombe Farm on your left.

From Bath....

Follow the A4 out of Bath towards Bristol. At the large roundabout, take the A39/A368 to Glastonbury/Weston-Super-Mare – i.e. the first exit after the large pub.

After a few miles, the A39 branches left. Ignore this and follow the A368 for around 12 miles -going straight across the roundabout on the A37.

Amongst other villages, you will pass through Huntstrete, Chelwood, Bishop Sutton,

West Harptree, Compton Martin and Ubley. When you reach the centre of Blagdon, turn right on a left-hand bend, following the sign to the Lake.

Continue on this road for just over a mile and take the first left turning after the lake, sign-posted to Aldwick. Butcombe Farm is about 500 yards on the right.

From the South....

Travelling along the M5 from Exeter, Taunton or Bridgwater, turn onto the A38 towards Bristol at junction 22. (The M5 or M4 route can often be easier from the north or south-east as it saves going through Bristol)

Follow the A38 for approximately 10 miles, until your reach the traffic lights at Churchill.

Turn right, onto the A368 for about 3 miles passing through Rickford.

At the centre of Blagdon, on a right hand bend, turn left following signs to the Lake.

Continue on this road for just over a mile and take the first left turning after the lake, sign-posted to Aldwick. Butcombe Farm is about 500 yards on the right.
